Raid (Caves)
Caves: Challenging Raids in Cave Monster
In Cave Monster, players will encounter challenging Raids known as Caves. These Caves are always located near Base Camps and can be tackled by a minimum of one player and up to a maximum of 15 players.
Caves come in various difficulty levels ranging from Level 1 to Level 9. The difficulty level of a Cave determines the number of players required and the strength of Aeris needed to successfully complete the Raid. While a Level 1 Cave may involve battling just one Aeris, a Level 4 Cave could present the challenge of facing two Aeris.
After defeating an Aeris in a Cave, players have the option to decide whether they want to attempt capturing the defeated Aeris or leave the Raid directly. If players choose to capture the Aeris, they will have a limited number of capture balls, but there's no guarantee of a successful capture.
In Raids where multiple Aeris are present, they are battled one after the other. However, players can only attempt to capture one Aeris per Raid, requiring careful consideration of which Aeris to target.
The capture attempt takes place at the end of a successfully completed Raid, ensuring that the gameplay experience flows smoothly without interrupting the excitement of battle. This approach also prevents players from leaving the Raid after the initial battle.
To initiate a Raid, players must have a minimum of 6 Aeris in their party. During the battle, players can freely switch between their Aeris, but they cannot heal them. This necessitates teamwork and coordination among players to overcome stronger Raids.
Basecamps: Strategic Outposts
Basecamps, strategically positioned near Raids, can be occupied by players and provide various bonuses that benefit all players of the same faction, not just those who actively occupy the Basecamp. These bonuses range from increased capture chances to enhanced attacks during the current Raid.
In some cases, it may be advantageous to secure a Basecamp before engaging in a Raid, as the bonuses provided can significantly aid players in their endeavors.
Basecamps can be contested and defended by players of opposing factions. Upon successfully capturing a Basecamp, players can deploy one of their Aeris to defend it. The defending Aeris remains stationed at the Basecamp until it is overtaken by players from another faction.
By securing and defending Basecamps, players can establish a foothold in the region, strategically positioning themselves to gain an advantage in battles and Raids.
Unlock the full potential of your team by mastering the art of Basecamp occupation and utilizing the bonuses they provide to achieve victory.
